•  Various industrial oriented projects were done by final year (2017-2018) students in BHEL, TRICHY INDUSTRIAL VISITS & IN PLANT TRAINING.
•   The students have organized various industrial visits through the reference of the faculty.
•   The students undertake these visits to learn from the experts in these industries.
•   SEA BLUE SHIPYARD LTD, KOCHI visited on August 2016.

 Milestones

• The Department of Mechanical Engineering is one among the five Departments Functioning under the Government College of Engineering, Sengipatti, Thanjavur.
• The Department of Mechanical Engineering has been established in the year 2013.
• Sanction for annual intake has been enhanced to 60 in the year 2013.
• The department has excellent infrastructure facilities well qualified faculty and staff members.
