  1. Anna University - Centre for Faculty Development sponsored FDTP on “ME6603 Finite Element Analysis” was conducted from 10.12.2018 to 21.12.2018 by the Department of Mechanical Engineering.
  2. Anna University - Centre for Faculty Development sponsored FDTP on “ME8501 Metrology and Measurements” which was conducted from 13.05.2019 to 18.05.2019 by the Department of Mechanical Engineering.
  3. ATAL-sponsored FDP on " Quantum Computing” was conducted from 21.06.2020 to 25.06.2020 by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering
  4. ATAL-sponsored FDP on " Novel Materials” was conducted from 17.08.2020 to 21.08.2020 by the Department of Science and Humanities
  5. ATAL-sponsored FDP on “Energy Engineering” was conducted from 21.11.2020 to 25.11.2020 by the Department of Mechanical Engineering.
  6. Tamil Nadu State Government sponsored five days online FDP - Artificial Intelligence - Application was conducted from 15.02.2021 to 19.02.2021 by Faculty Traning Center,  Government College of Technology, Coimbatore, and Department of Electronic and Communication  Engineering, Government College of Engineering,  Sengipatti, Thanjavur.
  7. Online –Anna University Centre for Faculty Development sponsored Six Day FDTP on “EE8501– POWER SYSTEM ANALYSIS” was conducted from 04.07.2022 to 09.07.2022 by the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering
  8. ATAL-sponsored FDP on “IoT for Precision Agriculture and Transportation” was conducted from 21.01.2023 to 03.02.2023 by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering
  9. One week ICT Academy sponsored FDP on " Data Analytics using Python IoT” was conducted from 16-20, October 2023 for the faculty members of Engineering, Arts and Science Colleges
  10. Six Days - AICTE Training And Learning(ATAL) sponsored Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “Opportunities in Hybrid Manufacturing Technologies” was conducted  4th – 9th, December-2023 by the Department of Mechanical Engineering
  11. Two Days workshop on Pro simulator software for Mechanical Engineering students was organised on 12.09.2023 & 13.09.2023 by SIM Infosystem ( Report enclosed)
  12. 42 Students & 2 Staff Members visited IPRC/ISRO at Mahendragiri on 15.12.2023 & 16.12.2023
  13. 5 days FTC sponsored FDP on Artificial Intelligence - Applications for Faculty Members of Engineering was conducted 15th Febraury 2021 to 19th February 2021 by the Department of Electronics and Communications Engineering.
  14. 83 hours - SSC exam. training for third and final year students by M/S Veranda Race was  inaugurated on 04.11.2023 - MOU was signed with M/S Veranda Race Learning Solutions Private Limited (VRLS).Interested students may contact Training and Placement Cell for registration. VRLS designated tutours will steer the class room
  15. The National Service Scheme (NSS)  Special Camp is organised from 13.12.2023 to 19.12.2023 in Sengipatti, Thanjavur.  During this camp the special activities like Rally on Health and Hygiene, Tree Plantation in the campus, Road Cleaning are performed by the students.  The special lectures are given by various resource person. 
  16. Center for Faculty and Professional Development, Anna University sponsored six days physical mode Faculty Empowerment Programme (FEP) on "CME336 Hybrid and Electric Vehicle Technology" which was conducted from 05.02.2024 to 10.02.2024.  This programme was organized by the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Government College of Engineering, Sengipatti, Thanjavur. 
  17. Department of Civil Engineering inaugurated Association for Civil Engineers (Society of Civil Engineers)  - SACE '24 on 07.02.2024.  Chief guest Er. P. Lenin architect delivered a lecture on various new job opportunities waiting in the Government, Private and Public sectors in the field of Civil Engineering.              
  18. Department of Mechanical Engineering inaugurated the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) on 20.02.2024.  Chief guest Dr. T. Mohanraj, Associate Professor, SASTRA University delivered a speech on SAE activities and the importance of the collegiate clubs. 
  19. Department of Mechanical Engineering inaugurated the Mechanical Engineering Student Association (MESA'24) on 20.02.2024.  Chief guest Dr. T. Mohanraj, Associate Professor, SASTRA University delivered a speech on concepts of SAE at MESA'24.
  20. Arun R, Ganesh S, Mohamed Yashin M, Manikandan M, Prahadeesh RJ, and Vasanth M of final year CSE students won the best paper award in confcall'24 National level conference on envision on 5G in AI, IOT & CC applications organized by institution's innovation council at Parisutham Institute of Technology & Science on 28.03.2024 
  21. Social Media Club was inaugurated on 12.02.2024 with the introduction of student members and our principal delivered a presidential address, announcing the GCETJ Virtual Tour - Video Contest. The contest is held on 21.03.2024.  The judges declared the winners and the prize distribution ceremony was conducted on 02.04.2024.
  22. An annual sports day of the government college of engineering, sengipatti is held on 21.03.2024 at our college auditorium.  Our invited special guest Dr. G. Vishwalingam, ACGCET, Karaikudi, distributed the trophies and medals to the prize winners of various sports activities conducted in the Anna University Zonal Tournament and within our college campus. 
  23. Dr. G. Indirani, Associate Professor (CAS), CSE,  of our college presented a paper entitled "Assistive tool for converting Sign language to Tamil Text and Speech for individuals with Hearing and Speech impairment using Deep Learning" in the 3 days International Conference "Kanikovai - 2024"  conducted by Tamil Virtual Academy, Government of Tamilnadu, Chennai held from 08.02.2024 to 10.02.2024.
  24. Mr.N.Karthikeyan and Dr.G.Mahalakshmi, Assistant Professors, Department of CSE successfully completed one month Industrial Training "Full Stack Web Development" at Sivasethu Infotech Private Limited, Trichy from 14.06.2024 to 13.07.2024.
  25. Mr.R,Vivekanandan, Assistant Professor/ Civil Engineering, Mr.K.S.Gowthaman, Assistant Professor/ EEE, Mr.N.Karthikeyan, Assistant Professor/CSE , Dr.G.Mahalakshmi, Assistant Professor/CSE, Mrs.R.Swarnalakshmi, Assistant Professor/Physics Department successfully completed 9 days online training on "NEP Orientation & Sensitization  Programme sponsored UGC- Maliya Mission Teacher Training center (MMTTC)  Organized by Coimbatore Institute Technology, Coimbatore from 16.05.2024 to 24.05.2024.
  26. Mrs.Swarna Lakshmi, Assistant Professor/ Physics attended a Tamil Nadu State Government sponsored 2 weeks FDP on "Empowering Educators Digital content greation for Generation  Alpha" organized by PSG Polytechnic College, Coimbatore and Government College of Technology, Coimbatore from 18.06.2024 to 29.06.2024.
  27. Mr. K.Manojkumar, Associate Professor/CSE attended two weeks Industrial Training Programme on "Soft Computing Techniques" organized by Jadayu Software Technology, Thanjavur from 19.06.2024 to 3.07.2024.
  28. Dr.R.Golda brunet, Associate Professor/CSE attended two weeks Industrial Training Programme on "Soft Computing Techniques" organized by Jadayu Software Technology, Thanjavur from 26.06.2024 to 9.07.2024.
  29. AU - TNSDC - Naan Mudhalvan Faculty Development Programme was conducted fromb 29.07.2024 to 03.08.2024 on "Software as a service (SaaS) for the ECE faculty members of various Engineering colleges to handle 7th semester Naan Mudhalvan course
  30. AU - TNSDC - Naan Mudhalvan Faculty Development Programme was conducted fromb 05.08.2024 to 10.08.2024 on "Network Essentials" for the ECE faculty members of various Engineering colleges to handle 5th semester Naan Mudhalvan course
  31. Dr.RM.Nachiappan and Dr.P.S.Prakash attended the Faculty Development Programme by Stelantis initiated under Naan Mudhalvan Scheme in colloaboration with TNSDC from 23rd september to 27th september 2024 in physical mode at chennai.
  32. S.Siva dharshini, M.L.Prasanna, T.Vishnu, ECE Department attended & submitted the Startup Idea Theerkathan Scheme under Startup TN from 28.07.2024 in Madurai. 
  33. Dr.S.Jayabal, Dr.G.Indirani, Dr.N.Suguna, Dr.G.Pattabirani, Government College of Engineering, Thanjavur for participating in the 59th Edition of BRIDGE 2024 - Madurai organized by ICT Academy held on 30 September 2024 at courtyard by Marriott, Madurai.
